Hawk Rec Fest - A Huge Success!

A huge thank you to everyone who came along to Hawk Rec Fest 2025 — we had an incredible turnout and it was wonderful to see so many people enjoying the Rec, the stalls, the food, the music, and the sunshine!

We’re so grateful to all the vendors, performers, and volunteers who made the day so special and worked hard behind the scenes to keep everything running smoothly.

Special thanks to Clayton, Fortitude Taekwondo, St Peter’s School Choir, Cascade Dance, King’s Quarter, and the Scouts for helping to make the day extra memorable.

We’d also like to say a heartfelt thank you to everyone who donated to the Friends of Hawkenbury Rec — your support means so much and helps us continue to care for and improve this wonderful community space.

We’d also like to apologise for the unforeseen issues with St Peter’s School car park — thank you for your patience and understanding.

You helped make it our biggest and best Hawk Rec Fest yet — and we’re already looking forward to the next one!

Folly Wildlife Rescue - Hospital & Rehabilitation Centre shared this lovely update following their stall at the festival:

“We managed to raise enough money over the weekend to buy a new incubator, which has been in full use during the busy baby bird season. Now is the start of the hoglets arriving, so it’s quietening down a bit.”

The team’s hard work — and everyone’s generosity — has made a real difference to the care of rescued wildlife.
